Kitlinx Newsletter - March 5, 2021

NEWS:

  • Another busy week! Another incredible week of new releases. We noticed that ArmourFast was not in the system and we quickly added these awesome quickbuilt kits. Also, a NEW LINE of Masks: SX-Art. Look at the LONG LIST of NEW and exciting releases...

Homepage Header: [new]

HINT: to view the CHANGES, just go to your browser history and click "Clear Recent History..."

Tim Estes from Sammamish, Washington built this 1/144 Revell of Germany Boeing 747-200 with the Draw Decals British Landor Scheme. Kitlinx has some difficulty to fit such a large airplane into such a small jpg!!

We are ASKING customers to send us your model pictures to be posted on our HOMEPAGE.

$10 store credit will be issued when your picture is posted on the Kitlinx Homepage

Rules:

  • Picture will be 1000x250 pixels

  • As this picture is ELONGATED, make sure most of your model is mostly on the right side (a gradient will be applied to the left)

  • HINT: close-up of details is BEST! We want to see your work! Be proud of your model, whatever your skills

  • Your Name/City/State will be posted to give credit-to-whom-it-belongs

  • You should tell us the Manufacturer/scale of the subject - an any pertinent information related to the displayed model.

  • By sending us the picture, you give authorization to Kitlinx to post that picture publicly

  • Kitlinx reserves the right to post or NOT post any picture

Your Feedback:

Wow, what can I say Logic and crew are really good!

After I saw you he 1/48 He-111Z, which I’d love but no way, I looked for a 1/72 kit, total Hail Mary. KitLinx had it, as well as all of the “ fiddly bits” from Eduard.

I passed on the extensive internal PE, but jumped at the masks which will actually make the, even in 1/72, massive kit build-able.

Great products and  service!

Phil from Texas just earned $5 credit!

NOTE FROM LOIC: Yes, Siri wants to change my name from Loïc (notice the double dots/umlaut on the i, which is ALT139 on your PC) to Loric/Logic or others. It's OK, no offense taken! The name "Loic" found its origin in Brittany (Bretagne), the "nose of France in the Atlantic - Where the U-Boot were stationed during WW II, and the French Atlantic Fleet today!).

Thank you KITLINX for stocking the DAS WERK 1/32 Ju EF-126 Elli/EF-127 Walli 3 in 1 kit.  I have ordered and received two of these kits from KITLINX, they were shipped and received faster that I would've ever expected!  I have come to expect KITLINX to stock the model kits no one else seems to be able to acquire for their customers.  Keep up the great work KITLINX

David from Massachussett just earned $5 credit!

Great experience with your company!  It's easy to track orders and see where things are in the entire process. You appear to be honest with what is in stock and what needs to be ordered. With few exceptions, kit prices are very good and you have items that are almost impossible to find elsewhere.

Two things would make the experience even better:

1. Searching could be better.  The advanced search is a step in the right direction but almost no one does it better than ScaleHobbyist.

2. I still think the shipping costs are excessive.  They are almost double sites such as ######### & #########.  It really makes you pause when you are getting a very good price on a kit and then it all disappears with shipping. Shipping is the major reason I use Kitlinx sparingly

Alan from Illinois just earned $5 credit!

NOTE FROM KITLINX:

1. Search Tools: YES, Kitlinx is aware that its search tools, specifically the left column search links, could be BETTER. We have had many inquiries. We are waiting for the FULL-FUNCTIONALITY of Kitlinx2 to be launched. There are only about 3 last tools that Kitlinx2 needs to be going FULLY "on the cloud". As soon as this work is completed and working smoothly, we are attacking the "left column Searches". But do NOT forget that SIMPLE SEARCH BOX on the top of the website. If you follow the instructions at the end of this Newsletter, it is the BEST tool to look into 90,000 products...

2. Shipping Costs: YES, it is true that "some" shipping costs are exaggerated (mostly in the middle-range box size, pricing showing $19 when they should be $15). There are reasons for that: 1) FedEx/UPS/USPS have tremendously increased their pricing in the last 8 years 2) Kitlinx weighs are ESTIMATED according to Kit/Accessories/Decals/Books. Kitlinx has built a safety margin to avoid losing money... which we still fail from time to time, especially from cheap-oversized- kits from Revell of Germany! Please Revell, make your boxes smaller and sturdier!! 3) When shipping is over-priced versus cost-of-shipping, we KICK- BACK the difference to the customer. MANY OF YOU can testify of it 4) Last but not least, if the customer orders an item "NOT IN STOCK", he/she gets a 3% discount deducted the order. One way of saying "Thank you for your patience"

Search Tips:

Let me add some "tricks" to the POWERFUL search engine of Kitlinx. Below are the KEYS to search ~ 80,000 available products (63% in US, 37% in Europe)

1. Use the top box search on Homepage

2. Use several keywords separated by spaces to zero-in your search "1/48 spitfire aircraft_model" (59 kits)

3. Use the underscore "_", like armor_models or Tamiya_ or aircraft_accessor "1/48 spitfire aircraft_access" (456 accessories)

4. Use keyword "instock" to JUST search for in-stock items

5. If you are searching for SALE items, use the keyword "~special~"

6. Don't forget the Manufacturer's link on TOP of each Product-Page. It quickly shows ALL available product from the same manufacturer

7. DO NOT use the asterisk "*"
