Kitlinx Newsletter - March 26, 2021

NEWS:

  • ModelCollect: Watch this line as Kitlinx has a very good and reliable source that is helping carry this line IN STOCK at all times, like AFV Club and Amusing Hobby

  • 'Kitlinx-on-the-cloud': Have you noticed the Order Status statement "ON THE PACKING TABLE, NO CHANGE ALLOWED"? - Now, Kitlinx is letting you know when we receive items, assign them to your order, and your order is shipping away!! You can follow this ENTIRE process "real-time"

  • Fraud check: Kitlinx has a process to verify for Credit Card fraud. DO NOT be offended if Kitlinx automatically charges the card a VERY SMALL amount (below 30 cents). If the card is stolen, the charge will not even clear, OR the fraudster will never be able to tell what 'random small amount' Kitlinx charged... Kitlinx will pursue with US authorities all fraud attempts - this process will NEVER bother any of our regular customers, or customers using Paypal - Thank you for helping Kitlinx protect your hard-earned money, and ours as well.

Wallace Van Winkle from Oro Valley, Arizona built this Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-23MF. Below are his comments, ENJOY!

I received the Squadron publication B-17 Walk Around in good order.  It is one of the last Squadron Walk Around books to be included in my collection of their publications going back to 1974!  What a shame that MMD has filed for Bankruptcy.  That’s why I’m glad Kitlinx is filling the void!

I am attaching a Photo of my recently completed MiG-23MF of 1 VRS “Shaman” Squadron of the 47.HRE at Papa, Hungarian Air Force c.1994.  I saw a photo of this jet on page 97 in Volume 14 of International Air Power Review (2004) and based upon its very unique paint scheme, I knew I wanted to build a model of this jet.  The basic kit is the Trumpeter 1/48 Scale MiG-23 MF (Kit 02853) with a very large number of aftermarket updates to include Aires: Correct Inlets, Wheel Bays, Air Scoops, Antennas, Gun Barrels and Tail Fin; Eduard: MiG-23 MF wheels, Brassin MiG-23 MF Exhaust nozzle, MiG-23 MF Ejection Seat, MiG-23 MF Wheels, MiG-23 Mask set for Trumpeter and Brassin R-23R and R-60 Missile sets; Master MiG-23 Pitot Tube;  and Neomega: MiG-23 Cockpit (supplemented with Eduard MiG-23 Flogger Interior).  Decals are from HAD Models sheet 48095, specific to Aircraft “Red 11” and Sheet 48110 MiG-23 Hungarian Data and Stencil.  The paint scheme and Humbrol paint reference is from Americo Maia 2002 courtesy Papp Levente (http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/37/pics/73_3.png).  All paints were from Humbrol with several a result of personal color matching based upon the photo in Volume 14 of International Air Power review.  The model took just over a year to complete with all the research, decal ordering, aftermarket additions and final paint work (painting alone took almost 6 weeks to complete, it’s a complex 9 color paint scheme).

I hope the photo sizing is close enough – I was not able to match the 1,000 x 250 pixel size exactly due to the size of the original photo, taken on a concrete pad in my back yard with my Canon 7D MkII 35mm Digital camera

Your Feedback:

I have been ordering products from your store for several years now and in my opinion, you have the most extensive inventory of products available than any other online store in the U.S. and around the world. Seeing “out of stock” posts on items I want is irritating and that of all the online stores, you have the fewest of these posts!

David from Virginia just earned $5 credit!

Did a local pick up.  Was in and out of the shop in 90 seconds.  Super fast service

Bob from Utah just earned $5 credit!

Great service as usual and quick shipping. I have come to reply on Kitlinx, especially for hard to find items. Thank you

Tom from Texas just earned $5 credit!

[Feedback rules]: Kitlinx uses one recent comment, one semi-recent comment, and one in our huge backlog of compliments. Kitlinx tries to reward customers with an extended experience with Kitlinx as they have the most to say about our service. Kitlinx wants to be "transparent" about its service. Some comments might be concerns or constructive criticism.

Search Tips:

Let me add some "tricks" to the POWERFUL search engine of Kitlinx. Below are the KEYS to search ~ 80,000 available products (63% in US, 37% in Europe)

1. Use the top box search on Homepage

2. Use several keywords separated by spaces to zero-in your search "1/48 spitfire aircraft_model" (59 kits)

3. Use the underscore "_", like armor_models or Tamiya_ or aircraft_accessor "1/48 spitfire aircraft_access" (456 accessories)

4. Use keyword "instock" to JUST search for in-stock items

5. If you are searching for SALE items, use the keyword "~special~"

6. Don't forget the Manufacturer's link on TOP of each Product-Page. It quickly shows ALL available product from the same manufacturer

7. DO NOT use the asterisk "*"
